The Industrial Gold R20ENC-PM 20 HP Rotary Screw Air Compressor features a liquid cooled permanent magnet (PM) motor using the air compressor coolant for both the motor and airend. The PM motor and the rotary screw airend were developed side-by-side to provide the most electrically efficient design. The airend utilizes oversized rotors to keep the maximum rpms at 3000 or less on all models (except 40 HP model). The thermostat is relay controlled, only running the cooling fan when needed and keeping the operating temperatures at a optimal range of 175 to 195°F. The air/oil cooler is 50% oversized for operating in ambient temperature to 110°F at 100% duty cycle.
